Thomas Mole 2019/20 Osborne Scholar plays Billy Budd at Glyndebourne 2026
We are excited to share the news that Thomas is currently in the final
stretch of his contract as a principal baritone at the Bayerische Staatsoper in
Munich.
This summer Thomas will be performing the title role in Britten’s Billy Budd
at Glyndebourne as part of their 2026 Festival, running from 28 June to 30
July.
Thomas would be very glad to welcome any members of the Company who
might be interested in attending. Further details about the production can
be found in the link above.
Following Glyndebourne, Thomas will head to San Francisco Opera, to sing
the role of James Stewart in Thea Musgrave’s Mary Queen of Scots, followed
immediately by the Count in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.
Thomas wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you again for the
support he received during his training. He tells us that studying at
Guildhall was an extraordinary experience, and one he would not have had
without the Company’s generosity.
